Inspire Us

We love the Gandhi quote “be the change you wish to see in the world.”  We applaud those who embody that spirit. Meet a few people here who have inspired us. If you have a story of your own, tell us about it!

A few years ago, I was sitting with some friends talking about what we can do to help cool the world. How can we inspire people to do the little things that will make a difference? As a musician, I felt compelled to use the power of words and melody..and this song was born. I hope you enjoy it. I sampled some of Al Gore’s words in the middle…he’s always yapping about this climate thing. (in a good way of course…and we are all better off for it.) You can stream the song here and if you’d like to download it for your own listening pleasure (on your solar operated stereo system) you can get it from iTunes here. Thanks so much and thank you to Inspire the Change - a movement that takes the beauty of mothering to a whole new gorgeous level.

I live inside a century
I take up air I get for free
I can fit my dreams inside a paper cup

The space that I have taken here
has taken from the atmosphere
and everything is slowly heating up

I’ll Cool the World
Cool the World

The second that I started to
I blink my eyes
I’ve broken through
There’s nothing like the future tense
To feel alive

Stop the motors running fast
Save ourselves so we last
Maybe I could take a walk with you instead of drive

And Cool the World
Cool the World

The space that I have taken here
Has taken from the atmosphere
and everything is slowly heating up

I’ll Cool the World
Cool the World

I’m responding to the request for comments about what was inspiring at the Mar Vista Fall Festival — I found so much to be inspiring from the puppet show to the stilt circus, but on a very down-home practical level, I signed up for the free rain barrel from the city. What a great program.

And thanks for your booth and the great crafts — nice work.
